Well . . . one of the above. I use a Garmin GPS12
handheld unit on the bike, the bus and in the car. I can't say that it has
ever really saved my life yet, but it's still an awsome piece of technology -
all that maths crammed into such a small space, and just imagine the fun of
connecting it to your PC and overlaying the route you have just taken on
top of a map you have scanned or loaded. The only really serious use I
have found so far is to prove that a bus I regularly use can reach as much
as 44.3 miles-per-hour in a 30 mph zone - all this without having my face
punched by the driver, who was completely unaware of what I was doing. Cool.
I think everyone should rush out and get one.
